Alex is an active contributor to various aspects of OpenTelemetry and is a maintainer of the OpenTelemetry Collector. He’s the author of the book Cloud Native Observability with OpenTelemetry and has worked in software development across a variety of roles ranging from user interface design to core infrastructure engineering, tinkering with network protocols, kernels and drivers along the way. He's passionate about sustainability, inclusivity, privacy and knowledge sharing.
